Scott Brown joined Ornstein-Schuler to help direct acquisition, improvement and oversight of Ornstein-Schuler’s development projects. Prior to Ornstein-Schuler, Scott was Senior Vice President and Partner at Majestic Realty Company, the largest privately held industrial developer in the U.S. At Majestic, Scott either directly led or was involved with the development of over 8,000,000 square feet of industrial space with a value exceeding $825,000,000 in just 7 ½ years.
Prior to working at Majestic Realty, Scott was President of CRB Realty from 1998 thru 2012 until his company was acquired by Majestic Realty Co. CRB Realty was a company founded with his father, Charles R. Brown, a long-time real estate executive in Atlanta. CRB was involved in several large mixed-use developments to include Technology Park in Gwinnett, John’s Creek, and Atlantic Station in Midtown. With Atlantic Station, CRB partnered with Jacoby Development and AIG Global, and was involved in the acquisition, pre-development, and initial land sales, as well as the development and ownership of the first office building, 171 17th Street.
Scott started his commercial real estate career at CARTER and Associates in 1993 as an Industrial broker and then a leasing agent with Seefried Properties. Prior to that, he attended Furman University where he graduated with a degree in Business and was a four-year letterman on the golf team.
Scott has served on the boards of several Atlanta institutions to include the Atlanta Zoo, CASA, and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors. He is married to Karen Thomas Brown and they have three children ranging in age from 13 to 16. The Browns are members of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Buckhead.
